Scholarship »Offene Chancen«
The Scholarship Offene Chancen, granted by the Stiftung Offene Chancen, is granted once a year for 12 months. Socially needy HMTM students in their final year (except for the Post-Master Certificate) with a (family) history of flight or, in individual cases, a migration background can apply. The amount of the scholarship is € 500 per month.

General scholarships
General scholarships are awarded on a semester basis (twice a year) to students in need.

Deutschlandstipendien
The Deutschlandstipendien (Germany Scholarships) are always awarded at the beginning of the winter semester. Applications are open to particularly talented and committed students with outstanding academic achievements. The amount of the Deutschlandstipendium is € 300.00 per month.
Application period: 1 May to 20 June

STIBET Graduation Scholarship
The STIBET scholarship is a study completion scholarship for foreign students. Graduation is required within one year of application.

Doctoral Scholarships
The doctoral scholarships are awarded in May of each year. The purpose of the funding is to realise equal opportunities for women in research and teaching. Funding is only considered if the scholarship holder is aiming for a university career.

Scholarships in kind from the Mark Lothar Foundation (City of Munich)
Students in need who have had their main residence in the city of Munich for at least one year are eligible to apply. Grants can be awarded for study-related projects (e. g. instrument purchases/repairs, competitions, master classes).

Orlandus Lassus Scholarships of the Rotary Club Munich-International
The scholarships of the Orlandus Lassus Foundation of the Rotary Club Munich-International are awarded at the beginning of the winter semester. Applications are open to highly talented students in need.

Scholarships of the Deutsche Bühnenverein (German Stage Association)
The Bavarian branch of the Deutsche Bühnenverein awards scholarships of € 3,500 each year to students in the field of performing arts (stage singing, acting, musical, dance).

ERASMUS Scholarships
Our International Office can advise you on ERASMUS scholarships.

PROMOS Scholarships for competition trips, language courses, study and internship stays
With the PROMOS programme, the DAAD is supporting students’ projects abroad (e.g. competition trips, language courses, study and internship stays). PROMOS scholarships at University of Music and Theatre are awarded twice a year by the scholarship committee for projects in the current calendar year.
