Association »Gesellschaft Freunde der Hochschule für Musik und Theater München e.V.«

The association »Gesellschaft Freunde der Hochschule für Musik und Theater München e.V.« (Society of Friends of the University of Music and Theatre Munich) provides targeted support for the university in its tasks such as education, artistic development, research and concert and opera performances. In addition to supporting talented students, the society would like to help develop and realise new initiatives beyond the regular degree course options.

The »Gesellschaft Freunde der Hochschule für Musik und Theater München e.V.« is a non-profit association, so that donations and contributions are tax deductible.

* When visiting the library for the first time, please present a valid identity card as well as your »Gesellschaft der Freunde« association card so that we can issue you with a library card. The library card is necessary for the booking processes of our media as well as for your personal registration in our webOPAC. In webOPAC you can search our entire stock of books, sheet music and sound recordings and order media from the areas that are not freely accessible (97% of our stock) for loan. Access to the online catalogue, called webOPAC, as well as further information on our services and our conditions of use can be found on the library’s website.

For several decades, the Ballet Academy of the Munich University of Music and Theatre has been a nationally and internationally renowned training centre for young dancers.

The training of future professional dancers at the highest level is only possible with the help of friends, sponsors and patrons.

The »Gesellschaft Freunde der Hochschule für Musik und Theater München e. V.« has therefore founded the »Förderkreis Ballett-Akademie«. The aim is to support dance events, projects and particularly talented students and to improve the conditions of study.

For membership in the »Förderkreis Ballett-Akademie« of the »Gesellschaft Freunde der Hochschule für Musik und Theater München e. V.« the above conditions and terms apply.
