At our university, students can take advantage of many services that are offered independently of the respective degree course.
Not everyone can, likes or is allowed to practise without restrictions within their own four walls. Therefore, we provide our students with extra rooms at various locations.
Every person studying with us can reserve these rooms for three hours per day. Reservations are done online via our campus management system eOffice and is always possible 24 hours in advance.
You can find a tutorial on the reservation system on our university’s Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact the »AG Raum« (working group on rooms) by e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Please note the following points for all reservations:

One validation station is located in the cloakroom at Arcisstraße 12 (ground floor), another in Gasteig HP8 (House G).

Detailed information and contact at https://hmtm.de/en/recording-studio/
Our new learning platform for music has been online since February 2022: https://openmusic.academy/
The OMA offers openly accessible materials (Open Educational Resources) for all those interested in music. Here you will find, for example, exercises on ear training, tips for practical piano playing and tutorials on music theory, but also freely usable sound recordings for your projects. In addition, private virtual spaces allow you to accompany your music education online. The OMA team works in its own video studio – perhaps you would like to record a piece and be filmed professionally?
We warmly invite everyone to use the OMA for learning and content creation. Since access is not limited to our university, the platform also allows us to collaborate with other institutions. The project team around Prof. Dr. Ulrich Kaiser will be happy to advise you (see below for contact). The Open Music Academy is an internet service of the University of Music and Theatre, funded by the Foundation for Innovation in Higher Education.
For many of our students, performance experience is very important. In order to offer an open opportunity for this in addition to class concerts and other projects, we have an „Open Stage” at our university.
Students from all disciplines can register for the Open Stage. The events take place during the semester at the Arcisstraße and Luisenstraße locations. Due to the high demand, performances should be limited to a maximum of 20 minutes.
Current dates in the winter semester 2023/24:
Please check the dates on our German website: Auftrittsmöglichkeiten: Offene Bühne
Please register by e-mail only: firstname.lastname@example.org
Registration implies the tacit consent of the respective lecturer.
When registering, we require the following information:
