Library

The library of the University of Music and Theatre Munich is located in the main building at Arcisstraße 12 and is open to all students, teachers and staff of the university. Anyone not affiliated with the university who is interested in music has the option of using the on-site service. With a library stock of more than 100,000 media units – including approx. 80,000 sheet music, approx. 10,000 CDs, DVDs, LPs and 20,000 books – the library supports its visitors in their studies, research, teaching and artistic practice. The spectrum of content ranges from early to new music, music theatre, jazz and folk music. The library also provides specialist literature for the degree courses in music education, musicology, music theory, dance, culture and music management. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have about research, literature selection and provision of media. We look forward to welcoming you!
