Historical Performance

Institute 8

At the Institute for Historical Performance, our students in Bachelor and Master degree courses receive practical training in the entire spectrum of early music. The focus is on artistic work on the instrument as well as intensive ensemble playing and various musicological subjects.

Through close, personal supervision, our students are trained to become independent personalities who can hold their own in the (mostly) free market of historical performance. Numerous projects and cooperations create space for experimentation and the opportunity for networking.
