The prerequisite for admission to a course of studies (ballet on junior level, Bachelor degree course in dance, postgraduate study course in ballet) at the Ballet Academy of the HMTM is passing the relevant entrance examination.

To register for the entrance examination you must use the HMTM online application platform. All information and guidelines can be found here.
Incomplete or late applications cannot be considered. Applications sent by e-mail will not be accepted.
The Ballet Academy cannot consider videos that do not meet the criteria set out in the guidelines.
The examination board will make a preliminary selection from among the eligible applications based on the submitted documents and an overall artistic assessment.
You will be informed after the application deadline whether you have been invited to the entrance examination.
A registration fee is charged for participation in the entrance examination.

Payment is made via ePayment directly in the application platform. Cash payments on the day of the examination are not possible.
The fee is non-refundable. This also applies if the application is withdrawn.
The language of instruction at the Ballet Academy is German.
Students from non-German-speaking countries must submit a language certificate with a minimum level of B1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
If the language certificate cannot be submitted at the beginning of the courses, it must be submitted by the beginning of the third semester at the latest; otherwise, the student will be de-registered.
