Helene Gastl, born and raised in Passau, initially studied Teacher Training in Music Education (secondary school) at the University of Regensburg after graduating from high school. During her subsequent bachelor’s and master’s studies in Vocal Music Education with Dorothée Rabsch and Prof. Christian Schmidt-Timmermann at the University of Catholic Church Music and Music Education Regensburg (Hochschule für katholische Kirchenmusik und Musikpädagogik Regensburg), she devoted herself to an active concert career as a soloist and as a member of various renowned choirs and ensembles. After completing her teaching internship, she worked as a lecturer for singing, choir and music theory at the Bavarian Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Since 2018, Helene Gastl has been employed as a voice coach at various Tyrolean state music schools and for the Tyrolean Choir Association. She also pursues her solo career as a singer, primarily in the field of early music. She holds a master’s degree from Roberta Invernizzi’s baroque singing class at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna. In the 2024/25 school year, she began working as a music teacher at the Meinhardinum Stams Gymnasium and as a lecturer in Vocal Studies at the University of Music and Theatre Munich.
Helene Gastl is a member of ensembles such as the Company of Music (Vienna), Capella Claudiana (Innsbruck) and LauschWerk Vocal Ensemble.
