Biography

Wolfgang Mastnak is a professor of music education at the Institute for Teacher Training in Music Education (Schools) of the University of Music and Theatre Munich and a supervisor of doctoral studies. He holds doctorates in music education, mathematics, medical sciences, sports science, and arts therapies and conducts research mainly in Europe, Asia, the West Pacific area and Africa. His research focuses on cross-cultural education, music education and health, clinical music education, translational music education, therapeutic and neuroscientific perspectives on Eurhythmics and Elemental Music Education (EMP), music-, dance- and drama-therapy, therapeutic factors of ethnic cultural traditions, cardiac rehabilitation and self-care (WHO), neuroscience and complexity sciences, quantum medicine, and theory of science.

Wolfgang Mastnak is a full member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and the New York Academy of Sciences. He has published approximately 25 books and 300 scientific articles, and his research has received numerous international awards.
