Prof. Klaus Mohr and Prof. Markus Bellheim confirmed as Vice Presidents

At its meeting on 8 July 2025, the University Council re-elected Prof. Klaus Mohr and Prof. Markus Bellheim as Vice Presidents for the next term of office. The University Council thus followed the proposal of President Prof. Lydia Grün. The new term of office for the Vice Presidents begins on 1 October 2025 and runs until 30 September 2027.

Prof. Klaus Mohr will continue to be responsible for Studies and Teaching. This task includes ensuring the range of courses on offer, teaching assignments, the further development of degree programmes and quality assurance.

Prof. Markus Bellheim will continue to be responsible for the Arts and International Affairs departments. This also includes all matters relating to events, co-operations and scholarships.

Prof. Dr. Sonja Stibi did not stand for re-election at her own request in order to concentrate fully on establishing the new Master’s degree programme in Music Mediation as well as research and teaching from October 2025. Her term of office as Vice President ends on 30 September 2025.

In her departments of Research, Diversity and Teaching Development, Prof. Dr. Sonja Stibi has established fundamental structures together with many of her colleagues. These include the reorganisation and expansion of the research area at HMTM, the development of the 7-point plan against abuse of power, discrimination and sexualised violence and the establishment of the cooperative project »Werkstatt Innovative Hochschullehre«. The university would like to thank her for her great commitment over the past two years.
