At our university, students can take advantage of many services that are offered independently of the respective degree course.
Not everyone can, likes or is allowed to practise without restrictions within their own four walls. Therefore, we provide our students with extra rooms at various locations.
Every person studying with us can reserve these rooms for three hours per day. Reservations are done online via our campus management system eOffice and is always possible 24 hours in advance.
You can find a tutorial on the reservation system on our university’s Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact the »AG Raum« (working group on rooms) by e-mail (ag-raum@hmtm.de).
Please note the following points for all reservations:

Activate identification: To be able to use the identifier, you must first change the start password via the ID portal of the Leibniz-Rechenzentrum (https://idportal.lrz.de). Only after changing the password for the first time is the identifier active and ready for use.
Password: Please pay attention to upper and lower case when using the password. A password is only valid for one year and must be changed before the end of the year. You can find the password guidelines in German at http://www.lrz.de/wir/regelwerk/passwortrichtlinien.pdf

Forgotten your password?
If you have completely forgotten the password for your ID, you can get a new start password. To do so, please contact the university’s IT Services department in person. Please bring your university ID with you. For security reasons, it is unfortunately not possible to do this purely by telephone.
You can reach us by email at edv@hmtm.de and in person here:
An email box has been set up at our university for you to receive all information from the university. Please note that the university will always contact you via this e-mail address and check it regularly.
Your email address is set up with your identification at the Leibniz-Rechenzentrum. You can reach your mailbox via the address webmail.lrz.de.
For students, the email address has this form: firstname.surname@stud.hmtm.de

One validation station is located in the cloakroom at Arcisstraße 12 (ground floor), another in Gasteig HP8 (House G).
Initial issue and replacement: The initial issue of the student identity card is free of charge. Please protect the card from damage, otherwise it will become unusable. A fee of € 15.00 will be charged for the replacement of the card in case of loss or damage.

Our new learning platform for music has been online since February 2022: https://openmusic.academy/
The OMA offers openly accessible materials (Open Educational Resources) for all those interested in music. Here you will find, for example, exercises on ear training, tips for practical piano playing and tutorials on music theory, but also freely usable sound recordings for your projects. In addition, private virtual spaces allow you to accompany your music education online. The OMA team works in its own video studio – perhaps you would like to record a piece and be filmed professionally?
We warmly invite everyone to use the OMA for learning and content creation. Since access is not limited to our university, the platform also allows us to collaborate with other institutions. The project team around Prof. Dr. Ulrich Kaiser will be happy to advise you (see below for contact). The Open Music Academy is an internet service of the University of Music and Theatre, funded by the Foundation for Innovation in Higher Education.
Contact: oma-kommunikation@hmtm.de
Please note: The Open Stage offer only existed until December 2023 and will no longer be continued.
Please check the dates on our German website: Auftrittsmöglichkeiten: Offene Bühne
At our university, our students have the opportunity to apply for paid performances outside the university through an artist agency. This work is done by the student initiative FORWART e.V., consisting of students from the Master degree course in Arts and Music Management at the Institute for Arts Management and Media.
FORWART e.V. is always happy to hear from soloists and ensembles who can help them. If you are interested, you can find more information here: https://www.forwart-muenchen.de/

You will find your user ID for logging into webOPAC on the back of your student ID card. You assign the corresponding password yourself when you log in for the first time. You will find the link to the webOPAC, the database information system and other online platforms as well as information on using the library on the library’s website: bibliothek.hmtm.de.
