Biography

Kirill Troussov is one of the leading violinists of his generation. He was encouraged from an early age by Sir Yehudi Menuhin. His extensive solo career has brought him together with numerous renowned orchestras and conductors. As a regular guest at major festivals, he is at home in the world’s great concert halls.
In addition to his concert activities, Kirill Troussov regularly gives masterclasses worldwide, at renowned institutions such as the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the College of Music in Tokyo, the Colburn School in Los Angeles and the central conservatories of music in Beijing, Shanghai and Singapore. He also pursues his passion for innovative artistic teaching as the founder of the online platform »Troussov-Online-Lessons«.

Kirill Troussov holds various positions at international competitions, academies and music festivals, including the Sarasate and Engers Academies, the Schoenfeld, Ysaye, Carl Flesch and Hong Kong violin competitions, and the Kaposvar and Ammerseerenade music festivals. He has also released numerous internationally acclaimed recordings on renowned labels such as EMI and Warner Classics. The series »Kirill Troussov Live«, which has been released since 2023, comprises over 40 of his live recordings and is available worldwide on all major streaming platforms.

Kirill Troussov studied at the The University of Music Lübeck and the Cologne University of Music and Dance with Zakhar Bron. He completed his Master of Arts at the University of Music and Theatre Munich with Christoph Poppen.
Since the winter semester of 2025/2026, he has held a Professorship for Violin at the University of Music and Theatre Munich.
