The University of Music and Theatre Munich offers a variety of funding programs for various types of projects abroad. In addition to the well-known PROMOS and ERASMUS funding, numerous state programs offer support for stays abroad outside the European Union.
The STIBET I funding program is primarily aimed at international students who are in their final year of study.

The DAAD supports projects abroad with the PROMOS program, e. g. competition trips, language courses, study or internship stays. At HMTM, PROMOS scholarships are awarded twice a year by the Scholarship Commission for projects in the current year.

STIBET is aimed for international students who are about to graduate from university. The degree is required within one year of application. STIBET scholarships at HMTM are awarded twice a year by the scholarship committee.

The DAAD arranges and funds long-term and short-term teaching activities at foreign universities. The minimum duration is four weeks; the maximum duration is five years.
