David Nicolas Russo

After his training at the John Cranko School in Stuttgart, David N. Russo received a scholarship from the Birgit Keil Foundation in 1997. This was followed by engagements as a solo dancer at the Saarland State Theatre in Saarbrücken (1998-2000) and at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz with Philip Taylor (2000-2010).

Under the motto »More cooperation!«, David Russo began his career in the independent dance scene in 2010. He regularly choreographs his own pieces, including for the Birgit Keil Foundation, Ballet Philippines and the Ulmer Ballett Ensemble. In August 2018, he created the duet »Bittersweet Carousel« for Universal Ballet in Seoul (Korea). David Russo is a fixture on the Munich independent scene.
