The HMTM Young Academy is the place at the HMTM where children and young people are individually and broadly supported according to their specific outstanding artistic gifts, potential and talents. In addition to systematic preparation for future full-time artistic or artistic-educational studies, it also provides individual support for young talents on their way to becoming responsible (artistic) personalities. The HMTM Young Academy mainly works in two programmes: the young studies programme in music, based on decades of successful experience in this area, and the new talent programme. It also creates the framework for the young studies programme in ballet in close cooperation with the HMTM Ballet Academy.

The HMTM Young Academy is already being supported by foundations. Funding from the Foundation »Offene Chancen« and the Christel and Wolfgang Ehlert Foundation has made it possible to offer additional courses and special events and to set up a support fund and a scholarship programme.
