Irina Shkolnikova

Irina Shkolnikova was born in Kharkov (Ukraine). She graduated from the Kharkov Music School with honors and then studied at the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts. She graduated with a diploma with honors and received the qualifications of concert performer, specialist teacher, accompanist and soloist of a chamber ensemble. Until 1998 she taught piano at the Kharkov College of Culture. In addition to her teaching activities, she performed as a soloist and in a piano duo in various cities of Ukraine and Russia (including participation in the International Music Festival »Kharkov Assemblies«).

Since 1998 Irina Shkolnikova lives in Munich and performs in solo and chamber concerts in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Poland. Besides, she is engaged in the Pianistenclub e. V. Munich as deputy chairwoman and overall artistic director. Many years of professional experience in répétiteur and accompaniment of classical ballet at the Ballet School in Kharkov as well as in various workshops and courses led her to the Ballet Academy of the University of Music and Theatre Munich, where she has been working since 2006.
