Alexander Jung

Alexander Jung studied jazz guitar with Peter O’Mara at the former Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich from 2003 to 2008. He has worked as a guitarist with Klaus Doldinger’s Passport (2012–2020), the classical-jazz crossover ensemble Passo Avanti (2011–2016) and Martin Grubinger’s Percussive Planet Ensemble (2016–2023), among others, on numerous TV and recording productions.
Since 2007, Alexander Jung has been working as a freelance guitarist and composer, performing internationally, working in studios and releasing recordings, most recently the EP »Inside Passage« (2024) in collaboration with the Canadian label »Sheet Happens«.

In addition to his artistic activities, Alexander Jung has been teaching at the University of Music and Theatre Munich since 2007 and at the vocational school for music »Neue Jazzschool München e.V.« since 2014. Since 2020, he has also been offering online lessons, workshops and courses on the learning platform »Soundslice«.
