Biography

Katherina Mai completed her acting training at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg. Acting engagements took her to the Salzburg Festival, the Hebbel Theatre in Berlin, the Schauspiel Bonn and the Munich Residenztheater. In addition to film and television work, she has dubbed numerous leading cinema roles; among others, she was the German voice of Amélie in the film »The Fabulous World of Amélie«.

Katherina Mai is a certified Estill Master Trainer in the Estill Voice Training Model. She completed her training with the internationally renowned voice teacher Anne-Marie Speed in London.

In addition to her teaching position for speaking and speech at the University of Music and Theatre Munich, Katherina Mai teaches at the Bayerische Theaterakademie August Everding and at the Zerboni Acting School (Schauspielschule Zerboni) in Munich. She also regularly holds seminars for students at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. She has led several workshops at the Université Ibn Zohr in Agadir, Morocco.
