Florian Grzeschik

Florian Grzeschik, born in Fürth in 1999, began studying to become a secondary school music teacher at the University of Music and Theatre Munich and Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich in 2019, graduating with distinction in 2024. From 2023 to 2025, he worked as a student assistant at the Ben-Haim Research Centre at the HMTM, where he was involved in cataloguing the estate of Wolfgang Jacobi. In the spring of 2025, he began a PhD under Prof. Dr Friedrich Geiger in the field of musicology. His thesis examines the reception of Richard Wagner’s leitmotif technique in the operas of Giacomo Puccini. As part of his PhD, he is employed as a research assistant (50%) at the Institute of Musicology.
