Music Lesson Exchange Platform

Are you looking for a student to teach music? Then you have come to the right place. We will forward your request directly to the students at the University of Music and Theatre Munich who have registered with the Music Lesson Exchange Platform and teach the appropriate instrument. You negotiate everything else directly with the student. But please note that a fair hourly rate is also appropriate for students and that, in principle, travelling time and preparations for music lessons are also involved. A fair hourly rate for music lessons in Munich starts at 35 euros for 30 minutes of (flexible) individual lessons, but depending on the degree and the amount of work involved (e.g. long journeys), the hourly rate can also be higher. You can also find out about fees and common contract models for private music lessons in the fee guidelines of the Tonkünstlerverband Bayern (in German).

This is how it works:

1. please send an email to career.center@hmtm.de with the following details:
Name, telephone number, email address, planned place of lessons, instrument, name and age of pupil, level of pupil

2. your request will be forwarded to relevant students.

3. interested students contact you!

Are you a student at the University of Music and Theatre Munich and do you occasionally offer lessons alongside your studies? Then you’ve come to the right place!

If you register with the university’s Music Lesson Exchange Platform, incoming requests for lessons will be forwarded to you directly. And to keep your inbox from being blown up, you will only receive enquiries that are relevant to the instrument you are offering.

This is how it works:

1. to register on the Music Lesson Exchange Platform, please send an email to career.center@hmtm.de with the following details:
Name, matriculation number, email, teaching offers (instrument, multiple offers possible).

2. we forward relevant requests to you.

3. if you are interested, contact the enquirers yourself.
