Information for our audiences

Our newsletter provides information about special events and the latest news from our university every now and then during the semester.

If you would like to subscribe to this newsletter, please write to us briefly at presse@hmtm.de.

Would you like to be informed about our events by post? We will be happy to send you our printed calendar of events twice a year, in which we present highlights from our events programme. Class and examination concerts can only be found online.

For our events with admission, you can obtain your tickets from München Ticket in advance and at the respective box office. Since the summer semester 2023, you can also use the print@home function via München Ticket.

For cooperation events, you will find information on ticket conditions, reductions and advance booking fees at the respective events in our event calendar.

Most of our events are free of charge.

At our own events with admission, the following groups usually receive a discount:
– Pupils
– students
– pensioners
– severely disabled persons
– Welfare and Hartz IV recipients and holders of a München-Pass
– Members of the association Gesellschaft Freunde der Hochschule für Musik und Theater München e. V.
– Members of the University of Music and Theatre Munich (on presentation of their university ID).

Exceptions will be announced separately.

Please note that other conditions may apply for events organised by the Theaterakademie August Everding or in cooperation with partners. Please contact the respective organisers for further information.

The access to our event halls is partially barrier-free. Please check the exact conditions for each hall on the »Kultur barrierefrei München« website at https://www.kultur-barrierefrei-muenchen.de/ (in German).

There are currently no special covid rules.

Nevertheless, we recommend that you follow the general hygiene rules (wash and disinfect your hands, keep your distance) and wear a mask in our buildings and while attending concerts.

Photography, filming and sound recordings are generally not permitted.

For professional photography or filming at events, you need a photography or filming permit. This can be applied for at the University’s Communications Department: presse@hmtm.de
