Biography

Stefan Fuchs (*1990 in Bamberg) took lessons in piano, violin, harpsichord and vocal training during his school years at the E.T.A. Hoffmann-Gymnasium and was part of numerous ensembles (choir, orchestra, chamber music). From 2010 to 2019, he studied school music at the University of Music and Theatre Munich, specialising in choral conducting, music theory and ear training, and also completed an artistic and pedagogical bachelor’s degree in piano.

From 2019 to 2022, Stefan Fuchser taught as a lecturer in music theory and ear training at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media (HMTM). In the academic year
2020/2021 he took on a teaching position at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and in the academic year 2021/2022 at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg. He also worked as a piano teacher. In 2022, he took up a position as Senior Lecturer for Composition and Ear Training at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg. As a harpsichordist, he is part of the ensemble Pleiades, which is dedicated to the cultivation of vocal and instrumental music of the 16th and 17th centuries.

Stefan Fuchs has been teaching music theory at the University of Music and Theatre Munich since 2019.
